Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has said President Bola Tinubu has taken all steps needed to make Nigeria a better country.
Honourable Tajudeen Abbas said this on Wednesday, on his X handle, while commending President Tinubu for assenting the North West Development Commission Bill into law.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) member representing Zaria Federal Constituency said the new North West Development Commission would help to address challenges facing the region, particularly unemployment.
Abbas added that by signing the NWDC bill into law, the President showed utmost patriotism. He noted that the commission would bring development closer to the people of North West.
“I applaud President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for signing the North West Development Commission Bill into law. The president by this action, has demonstrated utmost patriotism.
“The President has taken all steps to make Nigeria better, and the commission would not only bring development closer to the people of the North West geopolitical zone but would also address some of the challenges faced by the people, especially unemployment,” the Speaker, House of Reps said.
He added, “I congratulate the people of the North West and Nigerians as a whole for this historic development.”
Recall that Naturenex reported that President Tinubu signed North West Development Commission and South East Development Commission bills into law on Wednesday. While the SEDC bill was sponsored by House of Reps Deputy Speaker – Benjamin Kalu, the NWDC bill was sponsored by Senate Deputy President – Jibrin Barau.
