President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has lightheartedly cautioned the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, about the outcome of the upcoming FCT elections, suggesting that if the results favor him and his party too much, he could lose his position.
Speaking at an Eid-Al-Fitr dinner on Saturday evening, Tinubu playfully remarked that Wike must ensure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the FCT.
In his words: “Give me any opportunity for my party to win elections in FCT. I know where you are coming from, your own party. If this thing goes too much in your favor, you will lose your job.”
The lighthearted exchange has sparked reactions, with many interpreting it as a political jest.
