The NBA has threatened to place a lawsuit against the Nigerian Federal government over it’s suspension of Twitter.
The FG announced this news via Twitter on Friday.
The Nigeria Broadcasting Association reacted to this news with threats of filing a lawsuit.
Minister of information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, confirmed the suspension of Twitter.
Nigeria’s corporate existence is been disregard on Twitter according to the Mininstry of information and Culture.
This has caused an outrage among social media users across the country
The Nigeria Broadcasting Association has moved to counter the FG’s action. They said the Federal Government lacked the Constitutional rights to prove their point.
The President of the NBA, Olumide Okpata has made a statement via social media.
“The @NigBarAssoc has noted with great concern the extraordinary decision of the Federal Govt to suspend the operations of @Twitter in Nigeria and, by necessary implication, the right of Nigerians to freely express their constitutionally guaranteed opinions through that medium.”

Following this recent statement, It is still yet to be seen if the FG would bow to pressure from the NBA.
However, Nigerians spending sometime away from blue bird app.
