The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, has commiserated with Dr. Dorncklaimz Enamhe, over the death of his beloved brother, late Mr. Peter Enamhe.
In a letter dated February 7th, 2024, and signed by the VC on behalf of the Management, Staff, and students of the University of Calabar, Prof. Obi expressed her deep sadness over the untimely death of Mr. Peter Enamhe, while sympathizing with Dr. Enamhe and his family members.
The letter revealed that the deceased passed away on the 25th of January 2024 at the age of 53, when he would have been most needed by his family, friends, institutions, community, and the larger society.
While encouraging Enamhe to take consolation in the worthy short-lived life of their beloved brother, Prof. Obi described the deceased as a devout Catholic who was always present in the morning Holy Mass every day, whether he was at his station or not, except something beyond his control prevented him.
“Although he is gone so soon, his memories will linger on in the hearts of all those who came in touch with him one way or the other”, she added.
The Vice-Chancellor however prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and the fortitude to enable Dr. Enamhe and other members of the family to bear the loss.
