VIDEO: “I Never Knew There Was A Timetable For When Labour Unions Can Protest” – Dele Momodu Taunts Tinubu

Renowned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Dele Momodu, has taken a swipe at former Lagos State governor and current President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in response to Tinubu’s comments on the recent nationwide protest by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

Tinubu, during the launch of the Red Line Rail Transit in Lagos State, criticized the NLC for their demonstration, stating that a strike within the first nine months of an administration is unacceptable, suggesting they should either maintain peace or wait until 2027 if they wish to contest elections.

Reacting to Tinubu’s statement, Dele Momodu, via his official Instagram account, expressed surprise, he state that as a good student of Nigerian history, he never knew that there was a timetable for when Labour Unions can protest until he watched such video.

Dele Momodu further stated that in January 2012, they held massive protests against the government of former president, Goodluck Jonathan, adding that Nigerian government should tolerate genuine criticisms because the country is truly hard.
