We Vow To Put An End To Street Begging In Abuja – FCTA


In a newly released update the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has alledgely vowed to put an end the culture of street begging in Abuja

A released statement made by Mr Olusade Adesola, the Permanent Secretary, FCTA, after FCT Security Committee meeting.

He said though, it is humane to give the needy, but should not be done on the street, instead go to places of worship, hospitals, orphanages to make such donations,cause most times such money are used to but hard drugs and others.o

Beggars has so much infiltrated the capital and it has become a culture, and it is promote anti-social vices, such when done in an orphanages, church, mosques, hospitals it goes to the right channels and not for illict substances.

Olusade also urged all religious and denominations institution, to plead with thier members to charge war against street begging, social vices and antisocial behaviour.
