The Living Faith Church Worldwide, commonly known as Winners Chapel, has reportedly been experiencing a drop in attendance at its Canaanland headquarters in Ogun State, particularly on Sundays.
Investigations suggest that the ongoing road construction, especially the bridge project near the main entrance along Idiroko Road in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, is a significant factor behind the decline.
Worshippers have faced longer travel times and difficult road conditions, making it challenging to access the church premises.
“The extended travel and rough terrain due to the roadwork have discouraged many worshippers,” a source revealed.
Due to the inconvenience, many members now prefer attending Winners Chapel’s satellite branches or joining services online instead of traveling to Canaanland.
“The roads that were previously congested on Sundays are now significantly freer,” a local resident confirmed.
However, attendance at major church events remains relatively high despite the transportation challenges.
