Why I Sing In Yoruba – Asake

Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has opened up on his choice of using the Yoruba language in all his songs.

Naturenex reports that a curious fan had asked the ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ crooner during an Instagram live session why he always sings in Yoruba, his native language.

In response, Asake said he can sing in English but feels more comfortable singing in his native language.

He added that whoever does not appreciate his music in Yoruba should stop listening.

He said: “I am more comfortable singing in Yoruba, it’s not that I can’t sing in English. If you fvck with me, fvck with me with my Yoruba. If not, then don’t”.
