Nigerian political analyst, Frank Tietie has opined that if the executive governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike settles issues with the presidential candidate of the people’s democratic party without the resignation of the national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu which has been the major issue, then he (Wike) would have alot to lose.
According to Frank Tietie, Nyesom Wike has consistently said that if the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu and the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar cannot keep to their promise now, how can they keep their promise to Nigerians if the PDP gets power in 2023. Based on this, Frank Tietie stressed that Wike eventually agrees to team up Atiku and the PDP without the resignation of the national chairman, then he would have lost greatly.
Frank Tietie stated “what is now the middle ground they are settling down for? That they groundstood the PDP for this long to settle for something quite nebulous? I think Wike would have a whole lot to lose”
