The President Of Igbo Elders Consultative Forum, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife has claimed that Yoruba people have benefited a lot from one Nigeria.
Speaking to Punch Newspaper in an exclusive interview, the Former Anambra state governor said despite the benefits, they are still talking about leaving the country.
According to him, any group would put it interest first before any other.
“Yoruba is talking about leaving, but they gain more from one Nigeria restructured to work,” he said.
“And any group, as I see it properly considering their own interests in the long term, would find one Nigeria the best for that group.” He told punchng.com during the interview.
He went further to make an appeal that every region should consider the interest of the country. He noted that a new Nigeria would help the country to have opinion on global issues.
“let’s have a new Nigeria come in that enables us to raise the dignity and respect of all blacks on Earth and that enables us to have a say in the governance of the world”
