“You’ll Be Killed, If You Say Anything Against Me In Auchi” – Apostle Suleman

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, has stirred widespread debate following a provocative statement made during a church service. A video clip of the sermon, which surfaced on social media on Saturday, April 5, 2025, has gone viral, drawing criticism and concern from the public.

While addressing his congregation, Suleman spoke emphatically about the loyalty of his followers in Auchi, Edo State. He asserted that anyone who dared to criticise him in that city would face violent consequences, suggesting such criticism could lead to death.

“If you’ve been praying to die and death hasn’t come, there’s a way to speed it up,” he said. “Come to Auchi, stand in front of my church, and say something negative about me. Someone will kill you, another will bury you, and a third will be singing praise songs over your grave.”

The remark, which many have described as reckless and inciting, triggered a wave of backlash online. Critics questioned the appropriateness of such a statement coming from a religious leader and warned about the implications of promoting violence under any guise.

Suleman, who is no stranger to controversy, went on to recount an encounter where alleged cult members approached him after punishing someone who had insulted him. He said they explained that they took matters into their own hands out of respect for him, despite being individuals he wouldn’t normally associate with.

Further speaking, Suleman said:

“I’ve had cult boys bring people to me and say, ‘This boy was insulting you, we beat him and told him to apologise.’ I asked them, ‘Who are you?’ They said, ‘You no go like who we be, but you don help us.’ Kindness.”
