Data consulting firm, Statisense has released an analysis that shows how three of the leading presidential candidates, Peter Obi, Atiku, and Tinubu have grown on Twitter followers since they declared their presidential ambition.
The stat also provided details of the growth in their monthly followers from February to November 2022. The analysis shared by Statisense shows that Peter Obi of the Labour Party is maintaining the lead by a large margin.
As of February 2022, Atiku had 3.87 million Twitter followers, from February to November, Atiku’s followers increased to 4.68 million which indicates that he had a 19 percent growth in followers.
Tinubu’s Twitter followers also went from 950 thousand in March 2022 to 1.54 million followers which indicates that he had a 63 percent growth in followers.
As of February 2022, Peter Obi had 715 thousand followers. From February to November 2022, his followers has grown to 2.56 million people which indicates that he had a 235 percent growth in followers.
However, it should be noted that the amount of growth in Twitter followers would not amount to the total number of votes at the polls.
