In a recent interview on Arise TV, Garba said majority of southeast indigenes do not usually align with the popular belief.

“The Southeast is doing bad politics. Politics is participation, nobody can drag you to come and participate,” Garba, a former presidential aspirant, said.

“You must participate, you must be at the table. But in a situation whereby the government and the people are saying let’s go West, you decided you want to go to the East. When we are saying okay, let’s go to the East, you decided you want to go to the North, then it means you are doing something wrong.”
