The Central Criminal Court in the United Kingdom (UK) will hear the arguments in the alleged organ harvesting case involving Ike Ekweremadu, a former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, in December 2022.

Naturenex reports that also, the trial has been brought forward from May 2023 to January 31, 2023.

The former Deputy Senate President was absent in court on Monday but Beatrice, his wife, and his daughter were present.

Ekweremadu and Beatrice are facing charges bordering on conspiracy to arrange/facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.

The couple were arrested by London Metropolitan Police in June and appeared before a magistrate court in July.

Ekweremadu’s wife was granted bail on July 22.

Since his arrest in June, Ekweremadu has appeared in the UK court several times.
