Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president in the upcoming general election, recently criticised Peter Obi’s manifesto in a statement issued by the Campaign Council (PCC) yesterday.
Peter Obi’s policy document, according to Bayo Onanuga, Director, Media & Publicity, APC PCC, was completely useless and offered nothing to Nigerians. It was also claimed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, was unprepared based on his recently released manifesto.
Several promises made by Peter Obi that he would change if elected president of Nigeria were criticised in the statement that was made public. The article criticised Peter Obi’s initiatives to raise living standards, his efforts to bolster national security, and his alleged claim that the nation was a failed state. Therefore, Tinubu claimed that:
“By now, many of the gullible Perter Obi’s followers must have been utterly disappointed that their man didn’t offer them anything to be proud of after all the blusters and the initial leakage of the document, which contains, strangely, 15 pages of biographical sketches of Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed“, the statement made through his campaign council (PCC) read.
