Christmas: Gov Soludo Approves N15,000 Stipends For Anambra Workers

Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has approved the distribution of Christmas stipends to the state workforce.

The governor stated this during this year’s Public Service Day Celebration at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex, Awka.

With the pronouncement, each worker in the state would be entitled to N15,000 for Christmas celebration.

He assured that wages would be increased across board by 10 percent for all civil servants.

The governor urged them, however, not to relent in their hard work, while assuring the workers of prioritising their welfare.

He said his administration would continue to push with its five pillars of development, wondering how workers could cope though the income was not increasing, in spite of the daunting challenges.

Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, National President of ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo, among others, attended the event which featured award presentation to some civil servants.
