Deadly Attack: Gunmen Brutally Killed Six Policemen In Ebonyi

A suspected gunmen launched a deadly attack on a police station near Ebiya bridge in the Abakaliki metropolis.

Reports from the area indicate that six police officers were brutally killed during the violent incident. Additionally, two young girls, believed to be civilians, lost their lives in the attack.

This recent attack is not an isolated incident, as a similar event occurred on November 17, 2023, when two police officers were murdered by suspected gunmen in the same area. Despite the gravity of the situation, the Ebonyi State Police is yet to officially confirm the details of this latest assault.

Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, for a statement have been unsuccessful as calls remain unanswered.
