A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba has said that his principal, Bola Tinubu, will persuade rebels like the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) to drop their agitation by dialoguing with them.
Garba, who said this during a recent interview on Arise TV, described IPOB and ESN’s activities as “rubbish”.
The APC chieftain is the Deputy Director: New Media and Member of ICT and Election Management Committee of the Tinubu/Kashim Shetima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council.
“Asiwaju is the type of person that has a track-record of discussing with dissidents and bringing them into the formal system because they are Nigerians too. He has done that with the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC).
“So the simple thing is give them what is supposed to be given to them, by showing them that there is need to abandon that activity that you are doing that is illegal, that is criminal, that is destructive, and come and develop the country.
“So if somebody like him is offering this opportunity, ESN and IPOB need to drop their rubbish and quickly rally behind Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he always promise and delivers.”
