‘If Their Candidate Cannot Be Invited To A Town Hall, They Will Silence The Media If They Win’ – Reuben Abati

The Director of Media and Publicity of the All Progressive Congress, Bayo Onanuga and Dele Alake, one of the surrogates of Bola Ahmed Tinubu has incessantly attacked the Arise TV and the Channels TV station for being biased on their Presidential candidate. They also threatened to deal with the New station for spreading some false information about their candidate. Bayo Onanuga specifically stated that they know Reuben Abati is a PDP man and that they will not go to the Arise TV debate.

Dr. Reuben Abati in an Arise Tv interview has taken a swipe at the APC for exposing their insecurity to Nigerians. He argued that their candidate have refused to grant interview and has openly shown intent to silence the free press. Abati criticized them for not respecting the rule of democracy and that if their candidates wins the election, they might silence the media. 

He said, ”When questions are raised, those questions are met to be answered, and the result has been blackmail on us, which is undemocratic. If they are saying their candidate cannot be asked questions, if their candidate cannot be invited to a town hall, they are suggesting that they will silence the media if their candidate wins.”
