‘Not everything is by oshogbe’ — Fubara Responds To Reinstatement Demands

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has played down calls urging him to pursue reinstatement in certain political matters, describing such suggestions as unhelpful to peace efforts in the state.

Speaking candidly, Fubara suggested he prefers a more thoughtful and less confrontational strategy in dealing with the ongoing political tension in Rivers.

He also cautioned some of his loyalists, pointing out that, while their intentions might have been good, certain actions have only made his situation more difficult.

In his words, “Not everything is by oshogbe. Do you even know if I want to go back there? My spirit has already left there.”

Fubara further urged those present to set aside political conversations and instead honour the memory of elder statesman Edwin Clark, commending him for his lifetime of advocacy for the Niger Delta and its people.
