The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has taken out his time to compare football with Nigerian politics, citing what happened earlier today between Morocco and Portugal national teams.
According to a tweet he made on his verified twitter handle, shortly after Morocco defeated Portugal, he made it known that over the years Portugal built their team around a superstar, but Morocco depended on solid team work which can be likened to political structure.
Speaking further, he noted that on February 25th, 2023, some individuals will know the difference between structure and superstar.
It should be recalled that Morocco today defeated Portugal in the ongoing FIFA world cup, Qatar 2023 by one goal to zero. The defeat of Portugal by Morocco came as a surprise, because several people tipped Portugal to defeat Morocco.
Be it as it may, I see no reason why this comparison should be made, because Nigerians are the people to decide who becomes president of the country, not structure.
