PDP Chairman Kidnapped On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been thrown into turmoil following the abduction of its chairman, Philip Aivoji.

The party has issued a fervent plea to the authorities for immediate intervention to ensure his safe release.

According to Alhaji Hakeem Amode, the Publicity Secretary of the Lagos State PDP, Aivoji was kidnapped on Thursday, January 25, at approximately 6:00 pm while returning from a stakeholders meeting in Oyo State. The meeting was convened by Governor Seyi Makinde and Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun.

Amode expressed deep concern over the increasing prevalence of kidnapping in the country and the government’s apparent inability to address this alarming trend.

He emphasized the urgent need for decisive action to combat this menace and secure Aivoji’s safe return.

The PDP spokesman called upon the governments of Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos states, as well as security agencies, to expedite efforts to ensure Aivoji’s prompt and safe return to his family and well-wishers.

He also urged the public to support initiatives aimed at ending the threat to innocent lives.
