Peter Obi Reacts Over Offering N40 Billion To Kwankwaso To Be His Vice

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has replied critics who accused him of offering money to the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso during the period they were engaged in talks for a possible alliance between both parties.

It would be recalled that before the former Anambra State governor settled for Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate several months ago, he was in talk with Rabiu Kwankwaso for a possible merger but, the talks fell through.

However, while speaking during an interactive forum with the Nigerian Guild of Editors in Lagos on Monday, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, denied ever offering money to Rabiu Kwankwaso in order for him to buy his support.

“I never unknowingly or knowingly offered anybody money to become president. In my talks with Rabiu Kwankwaso, I never offered him any money” Vanguardngr quoted him as saying.
