The Nigeria Police Force has made significant strides in enhancing security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through the recent launch of the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) and collaborative efforts with various police units.
As a result of these efforts, sixteen notorious criminals have been apprehended, and a substantial arsenal of arms and ammunition, including a general purpose machine gun (GPMG), has been recovered.
Among the suspects paraded were three Bwari-based kidnappers responsible for armed robbery and kidnappings in the area.
Additionally, other suspects were arrested for various crimes, including the foiled kidnap plot and the interception of a gunrunner negotiating the purchase of illicit firearms and ammunition.
