Reactions Trail Trump’s AI-Generated Papal Image Post

Former United States President, Donald Trump, has sparked controversy online after sharing an AI-generated image of himself dressed as the Pope.

The post, which appeared on Trump’s Truth Social platform late Friday night, quickly drew sharp criticism from social media users, with many accusing him of being insensitive to the memory of the late Pope Francis.

It will be recalled that Pope Francis passed away in April following complications from a stroke and heart failure. Trump was among the world leaders who attended the pontiff’s funeral.

However, not long after sharing the AI-created photo of himself in full papal regalia, Trump found himself at the center of public outrage. Several online users took issue with the image, suggesting it mocked both the church and the memory of the late pope.

“This is disgusting and entirely offensive,” one user remarked.

Another added, “This is disrespectful to the church and God himself… he’s literally the antichrist.”

A third person expressed anger over the act, tweeting, “How disrespectful to Catholics. That is what Trump and his maggots are all about, disrespect and meanness and stupidity. How dare you mock the process we Catholics go through to pick a new pope.”
