Sarkin Hausawa Enugu Reacts As Northerners Boycott Supply Of Food Items To The Southeast

It is no longer news that Leadership of some northern groups that are involved in commercial activities between the North and South East zone have reportedly begin a three days warning strike.

According to Daily Trust Newspaper, the decision to stop the supply of food to the south east was taken as a result of the incessant killings of Northerners in the South East region of the country. 

Daily Trust Newspaper also reported that the Movement of supply trucks is said to be put on hold on major routes since the commencement of the boycott order. 

Reacting over the development, the Sarkin Hausawa of Enugu, Alhaji Haruna Sulaiman, has urged Northerner to always remain peaceful. According to him, the boycott is a good development as it will attract the attention of appropriate authorities to adress the issue. 

Hear him “With the strike, even those who are not aware of the current situation, will now know, and maybe it will resolve the issue.” Daily Trust quoted Alhaji Haruna Sulaiman as saying.
