Senate President Akpabio Raises Alarm Over Germany’s Plan to Deport 12,000 Illegal Nigerians, Citing Security Risks

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has urged the German Government to collaborate with Nigeria on security and power initiatives for the country’s socio-political development.

During a meeting with the German Ambassador, Annette Gunther, Akpabio expressed concerns about the deportation of 12,000 illegal Nigerians by Germany, citing potential security implications and the need for proper identification.

He emphasized a desire for enhanced partnership and guidance from Germany in areas like security, power generation, and economic cooperation.

Akpabio also highlighted the importance of addressing regional crises and sought Germany’s active involvement in resolving global conflict.
