With this win, Nigeria moves to second place in Group A, trailing behind Equatorial Guinea, who earlier defeated Guinea-Bissau 4-2.
The victory follows Ivory Coast’s initial triumph over Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea in the tournament’s opening matches.
