Tension In Delta State As Angry Protesters Block Expressway

Ozoro community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State is currently experiencing heightened tension as hundreds of women and youths have blocked the Ozoro/Kwale/Asaba Expressway.

The protesters are demanding the return of the Faculty of Business Administration, Delta State University of Science and Technology, which was relocated to Orerokpe community, the local government of the current Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.

The protesters argue that the relocation of the faculty from the institution will greatly affect the economic life of the town.

They have been seen dancing round the community, bearing different placards with inscriptions, calling on Governor Oborevwori to relocate the faculty back to the university’s main campus.

Travellers going to Asaba and Onitsha in Anambra State have been forced to take alternative routes due to the blockage of the expressway
