Hundreds of Israelis staged a blockade, preventing at least 51 humanitarian aid trucks from entering the besieged Gaza Strip on January 24. The blockade occurred at the Kerem Shalom border crossing, controlled by Israel and situated between Gaza and Egypt.
The protesters, who were caught on video asserting, “They (aid trucks) are not going to enter today as long as we’re here,”. They disrupted the delivery of essential humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza, compounding the already challenging situation in the region.
The aid trucks were positioned at the border crossing, and the demonstrators successfully obstructed their passage into Gaza. The exact motives behind the blockade remain unclear, but it raises significant concerns about the impact on the well-being of the Gazan population, which has long faced humanitarian challenges.
