Step 1: On your iPhone, open the WhatsApp app and go to the “Settings” tab. Now tap on the “Data and Storage Usage” option.

Step 2: Now, swipe down and tap on the “Storage Usage” option.

Step 3: You’ll now see a list of all WhatsApp conversations, sorted by size. From the bottom of the screen, tap on the “Manage” button.

Step 4:Now, select the media types that you want to delete.

Step 5: From there, tap on the “Clear” button.

Now, the irrelevant data will be removed from WhatsApp storage, and you’ll get the storage space back.

How to reduce Whatsapp storage in Android

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp app on your Android smartphone and tap on the three-dot menu button.

Step 2: Now tap on the “Settings” option.

Step 3: Now, choose the “Data and Storage Usage” listing.

Step 4: Now you’ll see a “Storage Usage” section.

Step 5: You’ll now see just how many text messages, images, videos, and GIFs are associated with the conversation.

Step 6: Tap on the “Free Up Space” button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 7: Now, tap on the checkmark next to the media type you want to delete. Next, tap on the “Delete Items” button.

Step 8: From the popup, tap on the “Clear Messages” option.
