Why Okowa’s Performance In The Presidential Town Hall Meeting Yesterday Stood Out For Me – Sam Amadi
In an interview with Arise News, Arise analyst, Sam Amadi, gave reasons why the performance of Atiku’s running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, at the presidential town hall meeting yesterday stood out for him.
He made the statement when he was asked to analyze and assess the performance of each presidential candidate who was at the presidential town hall meeting yesterday and if there was someone who “waohed” him.
Sam Amadi began by saying that one of the surprises he got was from Kola Abiola, PRP candidate, who he said he did not know much about but who seemed to have a very great idea about the future. Very importantly, he aligned well with pure traditional politics, looking more around social democracy, and therefore, for him, he overperformed.
Sam Amadi then said that it seems to him that, in terms of articulation, in his view, Okowa scored the highest. He said Okowa came out well and that he was very eloquent and showed skills of perception and comprehension. He added that Okowa was able to come up as somebody who has a good understanding of the policy issues.
He pointed out that Kwankwaso, the NNPP presidential candidate, also did very well because he lively his discussion with good humor.
He said relatively, maybe Peter Obi underperformed because, essentially, people expect so much from him but he compensates with authenticity stories around Anambra.
He finally said that, “they all did well, but Okowa stood out in terms of being articulate.”
