‘Wrongfully Convicted, Not Guilty’: Kamala Harris Triggers Outrage As She Slams Trump For Calling Hush Money Trial ‘rigged’

WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump came under fire from Vice President Kamala Harris for his attempts to rig the election and his criticism of the trial that led to his criminal conviction, stated Mediaite.

Notably, Trump has been criticizing the ongoing criminal proceedings against him including the Stormy Daniels hush money trial, in which he was declared guilty on all 34 felony charges. His efforts to rig the 2020 election are the subject of two of these prosecutions.

Kamala Harris slams Donald Trump for over guilty verdict

At the Michigan Democratic Party Legacy Dinner on Saturday, June 8, Vice President Harris gave the keynote address. She attacked former President Trump on all of these topics and more, calling him a ‘cheater’.

She said, “Donald Trump openly tried to overturn the last election. And now, he openly attacks the foundations of our justice system. Following his conviction in New York last month, Trump has been claiming the whole trial was rigged. That’s false.”

She added, “Just look at the facts. Over the course of 6 weeks, a jury of 12 Americans reviewed the evidence. His defense attorney actively participated in selecting that jury. And actively made decisions about which witnesses to call and cross examine. And the jury came back with a unanimous decision. Guilty on 34 counts.”

She further stated, “You know why he complains? Beause the reality is, cheaters don’t like getting caught. And since the verdict, he attacks the judge and the witnesses. He suggests the case could be a ‘breaking point’ for his supporters, hinting at violence. He spreads lies that our Administration is controlling this case when everyone knows it was a state prosecution. And he says that he will use a second term for revenge.”

Internet divided over Kamala Harris’ attack on Trump

People on the internet were divided and had mixed reactions as VP Harris slammed Trump for his attempts to rig the election and his criticism of the trial that led to his criminal conviction.

Some online comments read “Wrongfully convicted. Not guilty” and “Biden is so powerful he controls all state courts, prosecutor, judges and juries!”

A person wrote, “I wonder where Joe hid those classified documents he illegally took. I know he hid some in his garage, but where are the others?” while another added, “Joe didn’t try to hide it. That’s the big difference between Trump and Biden.”
