YouTube Removes Omoni Oboli’s ‘Love In Every Word’ Over Copyright Dispute

The highly successful Nollywood film Love In Every Word, produced by Omoni Oboli, has been taken down from her official YouTube channel following a copyright infringement claim.

The romantic drama, released on March 7, 2025, quickly gained massive traction, amassing over 2 million views within its first 24 hours and exceeding six million views before its removal.

Written by Mfon-Abasi Micheal Inyang and featuring actors like Bam Bam and Uzor Arukwe, the film explores themes of love, emotional resilience, and communication in relationships.

However, The Nation confirms that YouTube removed the movie due to a copyright complaint filed by Chinonso Obiora.

Reactions to the Controversy

The removal sparked reactions online, with many fans questioning the circumstances behind the copyright claim.

A social media user, Sayo Opajimi, commented, “Omoni Oboli’s movie is no longer on YouTube. Someone else uploaded it, claiming ownership, saying they had sold the script after selling it to another buyer first.”

Another user, @Bighotbaby1, expressed frustration, stating, “I wanted to watch Love In Every Word, but YouTube removed it due to a copyright claim by Chinonso Obiora (Skyberry). Did someone sell the same story twice? This seems unfair. Some people are just envious of her success.”
