Alarming Warning: Why Nigerians Are Quiet – Sultan Of Sokoto

Published by admin on

During the 6th executive committee meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, sheds light on why Nigerians remain eerily quiet.

The Sultan acknowledges the agitation, hunger, and anger prevailing in the country but reveals that citizens are maintaining their silence for a reason. He discloses that concerted efforts have been made to reassure the populace, urging them to believe that everything will eventually be okay.

However, he voices a critical concern that losing this belief could become the nation’s most significant problem.

On the other hand, the Sultan’s call for attention to education and health becomes a rallying cry. The nation stands at a crucial juncture, with the hope that sustained communication and action can assuage the unrest and prevent a loss of faith among the people.

His statement reads;

“Education is important, so whatever issue you want to bring here, you must talk about education, you must talk about health issues and of the two monsters that have been harassing all of us here that is insecurity and poverty. And let’s not take it for granted; people are quiet, they are quiet for a reason because people have been talking to them. We have been talking to them, we have been trying to tell them things will be okay and they keep on believing. I pray to Almighty Allah that they will not one day wake up and say we no longer believe in you because that would be the biggest problem.”

I believe he echoed the correct message. I pray and hope that the concerned authorities will not only listen but take appropriate actions.
