The Omu of Okpanam, a title held by only a few women in present-day Igboland, was a beacon of wisdom and guidance, serving as a guardian of tradition and a passionate advocate for her community.

This loss comes on the heels of another monarch’s passing, the Asagba of Asaba, Chike Edozien, who passed away a few weeks ago.
