Lagos State Governor, Jide Sanwolu, has reacted on the ongoing warehouse fire at Mandilas Building, located on Broad Street, Lagos Island.
According to the governor, the fire started on the 1st floor and has now reached the 4th floor. The firefighting teams from Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations are actively involved in battling the blaze.
While the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, investigations are already underway. Importantly, there have been no reported casualties, providing a sense of relief amid the challenging situation.
Governor Sanwo-Olu appealed for calm, assuring the public that all first responders are diligently working to bring the situation under control. He expressed his admiration for the bravery and dedication of the firefighting teams and other first responders, including security personnel, who are confronting this challenge head-on.
