Ritualist Beheads Lady In Yola Hotel

The police in Adamawa state have commenced a search for a suspected ritualist who brutally killed and beheaded a woman in a hotel in Yola North Local Government Area on January 18.

According to reports, the victim was beheaded by a ritualist who had checked into the hotel with the lady. The ritualist informed the receptionist that he intended to buy something outside but failed to return. When staff checked his room, they discovered the lifeless, headless body of the young lady.

The hotel immediately reported the incident to the police. Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, ordered a prompt investigation to apprehend the perpetrator and any collaborators for prosecution.

In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the CP emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for the killing of innocent citizens and reassured the public of the commitment to protecting lives and property. He urged cooperation with other security agencies to safeguard citizens’ fundamental rights.

The police boss called for calm, assuring the public that legal measures are being pursued to bring the culprit to justice and maintain security in the region.
